AMB Groups

So I've been lurking on this forum for a while now and finally pulled the trigger on a repo auction vehicle from AMB Groups. I was honestly pretty nervous about the whole thing because I've never done anything like this before. Always bought from regular dealers. But I kept seeing their name pop up and decided to check out ambgroups.com just to see what was available. Long story short I won a 2020 Chevy Silverado and it just got delivered yesterday. I'm still kind of in shock that it went this smooth. Anyone else have experience with them? I want to make sure I didn't just get lucky lol

Congrats on the Silverado! I've bought three vehicles from AMB Groups over the past couple years and never had a major issue. They're legit. The repo market can be intimidating but they make it pretty straightforward imo. What trim level did you get?

It's the LT trim with the 5.3L V8. Has about 42k miles on it. The listing photos on ambgroups.com were decent but I was still worried about what would show up. Truck looks exactly like described though. Only thing is there's a small door ding on the passenger side that was kinda hard to see in the photos but honestly not a big deal at all for what I paid

The whole title transfer process was way easier than I expected. I was worried about the title but the bank cleared it right after my payment went through and the clear title arrived with the car during delivery. No hassle at all

Welcome to the repo auction world! AMB Groups is one of the better ones out there. I've done probably 15+ purchases through various auction sites and they're consistently solid. Pro tip: if you ever have questions about a specific vehicle before bidding just email office@ambgroups.com and they usually get back to you pretty quick with extra details

I'll be honest I had a small hiccup with my delivery timing. Was supposed to arrive on a Tuesday but showed up Thursday instead. That said they kept me updated the whole time and the driver was apologetic. The 2018 Nissan Altima I got was in great shape and for the price I saved I can't really complain about waiting 2 extra days. Still way better experience than I expected from a repo auction

I'm a mechanic and I've inspected a couple vehicles for friends that came from AMB Groups. Both times the condition matched exactly what was described in the listing. No hidden surprises which is honestly rare in this market. One was a Ford Escape and the other was a Toyota Tacoma. Both solid vehicles that my buddies are still driving today

Question for the group - how long did it take from winning the bid to actually getting the vehicle delivered? I'm looking at a Jeep Wrangler on ambgroups.com right now and trying to plan timing

For me it's usually been about 7-10 days from payment to delivery. Depends on where you're located and where the vehicle is coming from. They give you tracking info once it ships so you can follow along

Yeah mine took about 8 days. Won the bid on Jan 4th paid that same day and it showed up yesterday the 12th. Pretty reasonable timeline imo

Nice truck Mike! I got a 2021 Ram 1500 from AMB Groups about 6 months ago and it's been perfect. Zero issues. Saved probably $8k compared to what dealers were asking for similar trucks. The whole experience was smooth and professional. Would definitely buy from them again

I will say the photos on some listings could be a bit sharper. When I was browsing ambgroups.com for my Subaru Outback there were a couple angles I wished they had included. But when the car arrived it was actually in better condition than I expected from the photos so I guess I can't complain too much lol. Just something to be aware of if you're super picky about cosmetics

That's fair Laura. I've noticed that too on some listings. I think it just depends on where the vehicle is being photographed. Some locations have better lighting and equipment than others. But yeah in my experience the actual condition has always met or exceeded what the photos showed. I'd rather have it be a pleasant surprise than the other way around

Just wanted to chime in that AMB Groups isn't just cars and trucks btw. I got a 2017 Sea Ray boat from them last year and the whole process was just as smooth. Title came through clean no issues at all. If anyone is in the market for a boat or RV they have those too

Oh wow I didn't even realize they had boats. That's pretty cool. I might keep an eye out for a project vehicle next. This whole experience has me feeling more confident about repo auctions in general

Do it Chris! I was in the exact same position. Not much info out there which made me skeptical at first. But honestly I think that's just because they're not as massive as some of the other auction sites. Smaller operation but really professional. My Honda Pilot purchase was completely hassle free and I saved a ton of money

Chris if you're serious about the Camry I'd recommend having a local mechanic give it a once over after delivery just to be safe. That's good practice with any used vehicle purchase though not specific to AMB Groups. But from what I've seen their vehicle descriptions are accurate so you shouldn't have any surprises

Also Chris make sure you read through the auction terms on ambgroups.com before you bid. They're pretty straightforward but it helps to understand the process. And if you have any questions before bidding the office@ambgroups.com email is legit. They answered a couple questions for me when I was starting out
